About the Award
The Best Companies Award for Employees with Disability comes to its fourth edition reinforced by the excellent results achieved in the previous editions and full of novelty.
The main goal of the Award is to become an additional support tool for the professional inclusion of persons with disability in the labor Market, focusing in the quality of this process, through the identification, recognition and award of the inclusive good practices used by the companies.
In addition to this visibility, the Award also intends to stimulate constant improvements in the initiatives of the companies from the State of São Paulo, Brazil or foreign companies, based or not in the Brazilian territory, aiming to expand opportunities of formal jobs for persons with disability.
Aligned to these goals, great news were presented in 2016: two new categories of awards were incorporated. Thus, the Award starts to count on three categories. In 2017, following the example of the International Award that occurred in 2016, Global Recognition - “Good Practices for Employees with Disabilities” it was created the fourth category that will contemplate foreign companies:
- Large Companies (over 100 employees);
- Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (maximum of 99 employees);
- Entrepreneur with Disability;
- Foreign Companies.
So, in this edition the novelty is that the 4th Best Companies Award for Employees with Disability becomes even broader, as it is aimed at all companies, whether national or foreign, based in Brazil or not.
The Best Companies Award for Employees with Disability is an initiative of the São Paulo State Secretariat for the Rights of the Person with Disability (SEDPcD) in partnership with the Center for Technology and Inclusion (CTI).
